On November 16, 2023, the Minister of Public Safety announced the appointment of Mike Serr as the Administrator of the Surrey Police Board. The members of the Board have been temporarily paused. The government has taken this extraordinary step to ensure the policing transition can be completed efficiently and effectively. Learn more here.

The Surrey Police Board acknowledges that we live and work on the unceded, traditional and ancestral territories of the Semiahmoo, Katzie, Kwikwetlem, Kwantlen, Qayqayt and Tsawwassen Peoples. The Board recognizes the traumatic impacts and harms caused by colonialism and we commit to continued learning about the impact of policing on Indigenous communities in the past and present in an effort to create a harmonious future.
